Just in time for our
moonlight hike at Ringtail Ridge, the fall colors have arrived, Texas style. While working the trails this morning the soapberry leaves were turning color. Not as vibrant as in previous years but a discernible warm yellow hue. Flowers in bloom include buffalo gourd, mealy blue sage, frostweed, and the common sunflower. The cypress tree planted last Spring was watered as the pond has been reduced to a mud pit.
